In 2004, five of Australia's finest wind players, each with rich international experience and acclaim, united to form the New Sydney Wind Quintet. With a broad and colourful repertoire – encompassing Mozart, Danzi, Mendelssohn, Poulenc, Ravel, Nielsen, Ligeti and Gershwin – NSWQ is recognised as one of the nation's leading wind ensembles.

The quintet is based at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and performs Australia wide, making regular appearances for the ABC and Musica Viva. In 2005, NSWQ ventured overseas for a concert tour of China.

With unique personality and charm, the award-winning members of the New Sydney Wind Quintet convey to audiences a palpable enthusiasm for their craft.
